I know how frustrating the whole process is, especially when you can't get any help from this wonderful company. I really hope this helps someone else out there. So I went back to Tiger, and had to do this surgery to get back on track. I had to do this because I unwittingly installed Leopard on a G5 powerPC, thinking I could use bootcamp, not knowing that Leopard kills Maya 7.0. You will be prompted for your administrator password, which you must enter to modify these files. Open this folder and then copy the file aw.dat into it. I go to the Alias/Autodesk website it gives me, it tells me its an invalid serial number. I enter my serial number and then I am prompted for my Activation Key. I installed Maya from the disc set i have, then tried to run it. So I setup a second drive to run Mac OS X Tiger as my Maya drive. I recently upgraded my Mac Pro to Mac OS X Leopard, only to find out that Maya 7.0 does not run on Leopard. I am having somewhat of a very frusterating problem with Maya 7.0.
